Cloak & Dagger Season Finale To End With A Post-Credits Scene

Everyone knows to stay to the end of a movie that's part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as not to miss the usual post-credits scene, which generally teases what comes next. We're not used to doing that with Marvel's TV shows, however, but Freeform's Cloak & Dagger is taking after its silver screen cousins and will feature a post-credits scene in its season 1 finale.

Everyone knows to stay to the end of any movie that’s part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe so as not to miss the usual post-credits scene, which generally teases what comes next. We’re not used to doing that with Marvel’s TV shows, however, but Freeform’s Cloak & Dagger is taking after its silver screen cousins and will feature a post-credits scene in its season 1 finale.

Showrunner Joe Pokaski was talking with Collider when he revealed this juicy detail. When asked if season 1 would set up some threads for season 2 to pick up and run with, Pokaski admitted that certain plot points will be left to be dealt with at a later date, but there’s a “tremendously definitive” decision that’s made for the future of the show in the intriguing post-credits scene.

“I think there will be places where we’re leaving some stuff open, intentionally, but there’s also something tremendously definitive, in our post-credits sequence, that will help define some of the drive.”

Obviously, it’s too early to say what we could expect in a second season of Cloak & Dagger, but it’s possible that we might see some crossovers with other Marvel TV shows. Specifically, Pokaski has talked before about Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) crossing paths with those other super-powered teenage kids from Hulu’s Runaways. On any other series, we wouldn’t expect this to happen but, on a show which has already tied into Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.Agent Carter and Luke Cage, anything’s possible.

With episode 7 airing last night, that leaves 3 episodes of Cloak & Dagger left to round out its lean 10 episode first season. We haven’t heard of an official confirmation of season 2 yet, but the showrunner seems positive about its chances, so that’s good enough for us. It’s genuinely one of the stronger MCU TV series out there, too, so we’d recommend that all Marvel fans give it a watch.
