Shazam! Star Zachary Levi Teases More Big Reveals To Come

Believe you me, with San Diego Comic-Con set to kick-off Thursday; we can expect plenty of comic book-related minutia to be unveiled this week. After all, in the lead-up to SDCC, we’ve already seen Aquaman make a big splash with an epic new poster, and Entertainment Weekly provide the exclusive first look at Shazam!. I mean, what else would you expect from the outset of the “largest convention of its kind in the world?” Well, according to the titular star of the latter, Zachery Levi, “more firsts are on their wayyyyyyyyyy.”

After all, in the lead-up to SDCC, we’ve already seen Aquaman make a big splash with an epic new poster, and Entertainment Weekly provide the exclusive first look at Shazam! I mean, what else would you expect from the outset of the “largest convention of its kind in the world?” Well, according to the titular star of the latter, Zachary Levi, “more firsts are on their wayyyyyyyyyy.”

That’s right, Billy Batson himself took to Twitter yesterday afternoon and teased that a reveal or two might still be in store for those in attendance at Hall H this Saturday. Granted, Levi’s a little late to the party, seeing as the film’s cinematographer, Maxime Alexandre, already confirmed that not only will the first Shazam! trailer “drop Saturday, July 21,” but the movie will also be part of the DCEU panel. Still, it’s the thought that counts.

Truthfully speaking, though, the promise of more “firsts” isn’t all that surprising, especially when you consider DC’s enjoying a positive moment in the spotlight for a change. What with the first Aquaman trailer set to be made available for public consumption this weekend finally, and footage from Wonder Woman 1984 expected to make an appearance, it’s no wonder the comic book giant wants to keep the good times rolling.

Circling back to Shazam!, though, and with the David F. Sandberg-directed superhero flick currently eyeing an April 5th, 2019 release date, it’s somewhat comical to think that we’ll be getting the first trailer for it alongside the first Aquaman footage, which will open worldwide in less than five months.
