The latest Avengers: Infinity War featurette has emerged onto the interwebs, and it issues a bellowing war cry as the forces of Wakanda take one final stand against the invading Thanos.

Front and center is Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, the newly-appointed king of Wakanda willing to risk life and limb to protect his people. For this particular featurette, though, both Boseman and his directors – namely Joe and Anthony Russo – take you behind the scenes of Infinity War, as we see the floor-to-ceiling blue screens and impressive army of extras all kitted out in their battle gear.

It makes for quite the shot, all the while reminding us that a fair amount of practical effects were used during the Avengers: Infinity War finale. And what a finale it was.

You’ll also see the heartwarming moment when Paul Bettany performs the Wakanda salute in front of an admiring Chadwick Boseman, before the two Avengers hug it out. And to think their characters fell victim to Thanos’ snap of doom back in April…

Nevertheless, we are, at the time of writing, exactly one week out from the Blu-ray release of Avengers: Infinity War, which ought to help ease the agonizing wait until our next MCU trip. It’ll take the form of Captain Marvel, a 90s-set origin tale that centers on the great and powerful Carol Danvers.

She’s destined to become the MCU’s strongest ever character, which is just as well, as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes still have their backs to the wall as we inch closer and closer to Avengers 4. Hopefully by then we’ll see Vision and Black Panther back in the game.
