Caitlyn Jenner Wants To Play The Next Big Marvel Villain

Over on Variety, transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner revealed her desire to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a badass villain.

20 years ago, there weren’t many Hollywood actors who actively pursued a comic book movie role. How times change, eh?

Nowadays, you’d struggle to find an A-list star who hasn’t received some form of credit – be it a cameo (like, say, Matt Damon in Thor: Ragnarok) or behind-the-scenes voicework – on a superhero tentpole. And it seems Caitlyn Jenner wants to get in on the action.

Per Variety, the transgender celebrity admitted that she’d like to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe one day as the “baddest-ass” villain – more so than even Hela, Goddess of Death. Granted, her track record can largely be traced back to reality television, with her latest gig, I Am Cait, documenting her gender transition, but who’s to say it won’t happen?

Asked about her dream movie role, Jenner stated the following:

In a Marvel movie, I want to play the baddest-ass lady you’ve ever seen in your life, They got the wicked queen or the wicked lady. Just do the makeup and the outfit. And I got the deep voice.

Suffice it to say, Caitlyn Jenner still has a long way to go before she breaks into Hollywood’s big leagues, and while the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in dire need of some LGBTQ representation, we can’t help but feel that the addition of Jenner would only read as lip service. She is widely considered to be the most popular transgender celebrity on the planet, after all, so it would be difficult for audiences to look past that title and appreciate Caitlyn Jenner‘s hypothetical Marvel villain. Nevertheless, the reality TV star isn’t about to give up the ghost.

Next up for the MCU, though, is the launch of Captain Marvel early next year, when viewers will be introduced to the great and powerful Carol Danvers.
