New Avengers: Infinity War Theory Explains How The Deaths Are Real

A fascinating new fan theory explains how the deaths from Avengers: Infinity War can indeed be real, and why the film's writers weren't lying when they said that.

Coming out of Avengers: Infinity War, enthused Marvel fans began dividing the film’s deaths into two distinct camps: those that occurred after Thanos snapped his fingers, and those that occurred before.

The former category includes, well, half of the entire universe, given that the Mad Titan successfully obtained all six Infinity Stones – namely Time, Reality, Mind, Space, Power and the all-powerful Soul gem – and carried out his mass genocide, much to the horror of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

And then, there are those who we said goodbye to throughout the course of Infinity War, including Loki, Heimdall and, in a cruel twist of fate, Gamora, after Zoe Saldana’s Guardian was sacrificed at the altar on Vormir so that Thanos could acquire the Soul Stone.

Of course, there’ve been rumblings that Gamora was actually zapped inside the Soul Stone – ditto for all those characters reduced to dust – but at least according to this new theory, that’s simply not the case. Or at least, not the case for Spidey, Black Panther and the rest of the heroes who turned to ash. Yes, Gamora is indeed in Soul World (as it’s called in the comics), but as for the others? They’re dead and their deaths are indeed real, as we’ve been told numerous times now.

But how can that be, you ask? Well, a new theory has explained it and we must say, what this individual has come up with certainly makes sense. Seen in the video down below, YouTuber Eman’s Movie Reviews has put together one of the best theories we’ve come across that suggests, in short, Thanos used the Reality Stone to create an entirely new reality, one where the likes of Bucky, Groot, Star-Lord, etc., are nothing more than a pile of dust.

So yes, the deaths are indeed real in this current reality, the one that the Mad Titan’s created. Even if it’s unlikely to be the permanent reality when all is said and done.

Interesting, right? Whether or not any of this is true is another question entirely, but it’s looking increasingly likely that one of the big underlying themes of Avengers 4 is the entire roster of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes – Cap and Iron Man included – reuniting as a single, formidable unit, as they mount one last counter-attack on Thanos. Which is just as well, otherwise the likes of Spider-Man and Black Panther don’t stand much of a chance of returning.

Avengers 4 opens big on May 3rd, 2019. And once it does, the MCU will never be the same again.
