Avengers 4 Fan Trailer Brings In The X-Men And Fantastic Four

An epic new fan trailer for Avengers 4 has surfaced today and this one brings both the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the fold.

From a continuity perspective, Disney’s historic merger with 21st Century Fox has opened up a real can of worms for the Marvel fanbase, with theorists working all hours of the day to figure out how Kevin Feige and his team can possibly bring the X-Men franchise into the MCU.

In this search for answers, it remains a major point of concern that bringing these gifted mutants into the saga post-Avengers 4 can’t be a simple matter of inducing superpowers into some ordinary people, à la Bruce Banner or Peter Parker. As determined by both the history of these characters and the underlying social commentary of their stories, mutants were born this way – so where have they been all this time?

That’s a question that remains unanswered, but to make the wait a bit easer, YouTuber StryderHD is back with another piece of excellent work, this time putting together a fan-made trailer for Avengers 4 that brings both the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the fold. It all makes for a pretty thrilling watch, and you can check it out for yourself down below.

Though the chances of either the Four or any of the mutants actually showing up in the Infinity War sequel are pretty much slim to none, this is no doubt another great piece of (unofficial) MCU content to stoke the embers of excitement, because now that Ant-Man and the Wasp has had its time in the sun, our collective attention is beginning to turn towards Captain Marvel, a standalone ’90s adventure which will also be the penultimate chapter in this incredible 10-year saga.

However, much like Avengers 4, the actual plot of Captain Marvel is being kept under wraps for the time being, though we fully expect some sort of link or connective tissue between the two MCU blockbusters – like, say, the Quantum Realm, which proved pretty instrumental during the course of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

And as for the X-Men and Fantastic Four? Well, once again, don’t expect to see them in next May’s blockbuster, but you can bet it won’t be long before they make their MCU debut.
