With the release of Shane Black’s The Predator so close that you can practically hear the faint clicking of the eponymous beast in the distance, 20th Century Fox has shifted the marketing blitz into high gear, and we’ve got the newest TV spot to prove it.

Last week, we got our latest look at the “ultimate predator,” and while the extraterrestrial killing machine may be “bigger, meaner and nasty as hell,” for the outfit charged with taking down the “ten foot tall” motherfucker, I’m afraid the hunt just became a lot more deadly.

That’s because we’ve now been alerted to the existence of a brand spanking new promo for The Predator and the thirty second-long TV spot – which you can check out below – came complete with our very first look at the Hell Hound. That’s right, if you recall, man’s best friend got a makeover in Nimród Antal’s middle-of-the-road 2010 reboot, Predators and, well, Shane Black has decided to bring the Hell Hound along for the ride in his upcoming blockbuster.

Used for hunting and wounding prey, the Hell Hound’s prevented from delivering the killing blow by a whistle, which ultimately does allow the universe’s most lethal hunter to maintain control over the creature. If you’ll recall, we first learned the Hell Hound would be making a return in The Predator earlier this year, when VFX supervisor, Jonathan Rothbart, described some of the monstrosity’s features to Collider.

“We were trying to stay away from matching any previous design on them. So we try to keep it where at least we have some familiar aspects to the dogs that you can bring back to the Predators. Such as, they have some level of dreads to them. And their mouths are not the same as a Predator mouth, but they do have that kind of distended jaw a little bit. It doesn’t open sideways like that, but it still has some similarities, just to keep it in the same realm. The skin tones have some similarities as well.”

Scheduled to make a pit stop at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival before opening stateside, look for The Predator – starring Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Jacob Tremblay and Sterling K. Brown – to invade your local multiplex on September 14th.
