Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Theme Park Will Have A Cantina That Serves Booze

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is sounding more and more like heaven for fans of the series. Rather than attempt to recreate various locations we've seen in the movies, the park appears set to break new ground in the franchise, promising us the opportunity to become immersed in a galaxy far, far away. Among other things, you'll be invited to join the Resistance or the First Order and tasked to go on missions within the park during which you'll interact with your favorite characters.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is sounding more and more like heaven for fans of the series. Rather than attempt to recreate various locations we’ve seen in the movies, the park appears set to break new ground in the franchise, promising us the opportunity to become immersed in a galaxy far, far away. Among other things, you’ll be invited to join the Resistance or the First Order and tasked to go on missions within the park during which you’ll interact with your favorite characters.

With a price tag of a cool $1 billionDisney’s going all out here and allowing attendees to pilot the Millennium Falcon through Hyperspace, board a First Order Star Destroyer and undergo Jedi training. And now, you can do all that while completely hammered, thanks to the announcement that Oga’s Cantina will be serving alcoholic Star Wars themed drinks!

Check out the concept art for the establishment below:

With a design obviously influenced by the iconic Cantina scene from A New Hope, Disney’s billing the place as follows:

The kind of establishment that attracts some of the most interesting and disreputable characters in the galaxy. And you never know when a stormtrooper or a familiar face will show up. Patrons of the cantina come from across the galaxy to sample the famous concoctions created with exotic ingredients using “otherworldly” methods, served in unique vessels. With choices for kids and libations for adults, the cantina will make for a great stop!

Man, if they have alcoholic blue milk, I’m going to gorge myself silly on it before drunkenly stumbling into and ruining the hourly Ewok parade. And it just wouldn’t be a Star Wars cantina without it being filled with Jizz. I am, of course, talking of the soothing sounds of Jizz-wailers, whose catchy tunes often fill the air. Fortunately, Disney has us covered there too, with the press release reading:

Musical entertainment is provided courtesy of RX-24, the former StarSpeeder 3000 pilot droid we first met in Star Tours, who has re-envisioned himself as the cantina’s DJ. As quirky and talkative as ever, he’s still trying to do his best on the job. Get ready to listen to some unique music, taste the best drinks in the galaxy, and surround yourself with a colorful cast of characters. You never know what will happen at the cantina!

Disney have historically been pretty strict about people consuming alcohol in their parks, with the rules being relaxed recently at the Be Our Guest themed restaurants where you can order beer and wine. That they’re happy to serve it at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge might be an indication that they’re expecting attendees to be a little older than the children who their other areas are targeted at.

Until then, mine’s a Spiced Jedi Mindbender. Cheers!
