New Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Photo Gets Up Close And Personal With Superman’s Army

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice may very well be a thing of the past, but, it would appear, those intrinsically involved aren’t quite finished explicating the divisive superhero flick, like Clay Enos.

Enos – who served in the camera and electrical department on Dawn of Justice – took to Vero last month and shared the below still of a soldier burdened with helping the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill). For those in need of a refresher, the type of soldier pictured below first appeared during the flashback experienced by Bruce Wayne in Dawn of Justice, colloquially referred to as the Knightmare sequence.

In it, Bruce is transported to an apocalyptic future, where the planet’s under the control of Darkseid, due to an apparent partnership with Kal-El. The Dark Knight’s then captured by Superman’s Army and is presumedly about to be killed by the Man of Steel, when he’s awoken by The Flash (Ezra Miller).

In case you didn’t know, Barry Allen has travelled through a break in the space-time continuum to deliver an ominous warning to Bruce, in which he can be seen pleading with Batman to find Lois Lane (Amy Adams), unite the Justice League and be wary of some tragedy that will befall Superman at some point in the future.

Unfortunately, before director Zack Snyder got the chance to expand on his vision, the DCEU founding father was removed from office, and the rest, as they say, is history. All in all, though, I suppose DC is on a better path now, what with Shazam!Wonder Woman 1984, and Aquaman set to reinvigorate the once failing brand. Still, every now and again, I can’t help but wonder what could’ve been.
