The Actor Playing Batman On Titans Might’ve Been Revealed

DC Universe's Titans is mostly focusing on the angst-filled younger generation of the company's heroes, but the one and only Batman himself is all over the show thanks to the presence of Brenton Thwaites' Robin. Though Dick Grayson has moved on from being the Dark Knight's sidekick by the timeline of the series, Bruce Wayne appears in flashbacks, either out-of-focus or in silhouette.

In episode 3 of Titans, though, we get our best look at Bruce yet. When Dick’s speaking with his case worker following the death of parents about being adopted by the billionaire, we get a glimpse of Wayne looking at the young orphan through the two-way mirror. Though we don’t see the actor’s face, Screen Rant believes they may’ve worked out who’s playing the Caped Crusader on the show.

Yes, it’s possible that Iron Fist and Deadpool 2 star Lewis Tan is portraying the iconic character. The big piece of evidence comes from the fact that Tan shared a photo of himself at DC headquarters, armed with a bunch of Batman graphic novels and comics, on Twitter a few months back. In his caption, he mentioned that his father got his big acting break on Tim Burton’s Batman so now things have come “full circle.” What else could that mean but that he’s now playing the hero himself?

In the screenshot below, you can also see how the pic of the back of Wayne’s head resembles Tan quite a bit. It’s a stretch, sure, but we wouldn’t rule it out.

If Screen Rant are on the money here, you can understand why DC would cast the actor as Batman. Apart from already being popular with the comic book crowd – many thought he should’ve been cast as Marvel’s Iron Fist – he’s also proficient at martial arts. As such, it’d be wise to prepare yourself to see Batsy in action across the rest of Titans season 1.
