Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Stars Reveal Whether Their Characters Would’ve Survived Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War ended with such a universe-shattering event that fans have been curious to know how it affects the wider world of the MCU beyond just what we saw in the movie. Like the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., for example. Which of them would have survived and who would have died because of Thanos’ finger snap that wiped out half of reality? We still don’t know if the likes of Daisy, Melinda and Simmons would have made it, but two villains from the show’s past are confident their characters would’ve been alright.

Attending an LA Comic-Con panel, Brett Dalton (treacherous HYDRA agent Grant Ward) and Mallory Jensen (evil Life Model Decoy AIDA) were asked what they think would’ve happened to them had they survived on AoS long enough for the Mad Titan’s snap to effect them. Both seemed sure they’d be ok, saying:

Brett Dalton: “Why you have to put that restriction in it? “If they’re alive?” Why you gotta rub it in our faces that we died?” [Thinks it over] “Yeah, sure.”

Mallory Jansen: “Yeah! It’s Marvel, we never really die.”

Dalton: “Exactly.”

Of course, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s fifth season did crossover with Infinity War in a sense, as Thanos himself was mentioned by the Kree while references to the Q-ship’s landing in New York were made. However, the finale occurred before the climactic snap, so we didn’t get to see the fallout for our small screen heroes. And by the time season 6 airs next summer, Avengers 4 will have arrived, so the show will get to nimbly avoid the difficult topic of half its cast turning to dust.

Avengers 4 is rumored to involve time travel, leading fans to assume that the Snap won’t be reversed but simply erased from time. Plus, from Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb’s recent comments about his approach to movie-TV crossovers, it sounds like we shouldn’t expect much reference to what Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are up to in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6.
