Captain Marvel TV Spot Teases The MCU’s Most Powerful Hero

What appears to be the first Captain Marvel TV spot has landed online today and though it doesn't offer up any new footage, it's certainly epic.

Higher. Further. Faster.

It’s yet to be determined whether Captain Marvel is actually able to travel faster and further than her fellow heroes – chances are she’ll be able to though, you know, given the fact that her abilities are simply off the charts – but based on the response to the film’s first trailer, it would seem that Carol Danvers is very much capable of going higher. Much higher, in fact.

As you’ve surely heard, Captain Marvel‘s blistering first teaser trailer racked up more views in 24 hours than both Captain America: Civil War and Black Panther – two billion-dollar hits to come out of Marvel Studios in the past three years. Only Thor: Ragnarok and the two trailers for Avengers: Infinity War scored higher across the same time period, and though the marketing campaign has quieted down since that grand debut back in September, it seems things are about to kick into gear again – as evidenced by the TV spot up above.

As you can see, what we have here is an international promo and as far as we can tell, it’s just a condensed, recut version of the original trailer, with no new footage to feast on (though correct us if we’re wrong). Still, you can’t deny it’s another exciting tease that spotlights the MCU’s most powerful hero.

It also serves as a pointed reminder that Carol Danvers is about to become the franchise’s new figurehead in Phase 4 and beyond. Which is just as well, after Chris Evans announced his retirement as Captain America a few weeks back. So long, Cap; hello Captain Marvel!

Look to the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Captain Marvel, and she’ll be soaring into theaters all over the world on March 8th, 2019.
