Chadwick Boseman Sends Stan Lee To The Other Side With A Round Of Drumming

In the wake of the news breaking that Stan Lee had passed away, social media quickly flooded with tributes from fans and celebrities wishing to pay their respects to the legendary writer, and three days later, the flow of reverent messages still hasn’t let up, with Chadwick Boseman being among the most recent to pay their respects.

The Black Panther star’s tweet references Lee’s late wife Joan Boocock, who passed away last year, before declaring that “The only way we should send you home is to celebrate.” In the accompanying video, Boseman does just that, launching into a round of drumming to send off the man who co-created T’Challa.

Of course, Boseman is just the latest in a long line of MCU regulars who’ve paid tribute to the man who helped make Marvel what it is today. Chris Hemsworth, for instance, took to Twitter with a message thanking Lee for “the incredible adventures your stories took all of us on.”

Meanwhile, Chris Evans praised the late publisher for how he “provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy,” whereas Mark Ruffalo tweeted that Lee’s work “let us be extra human… superhuman even.” Robert Downey Jr., on the other hand, kept his comment short and personal, writing: “I owe it all to you,,, Rest In Peace Stan…”

On top of that, in latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter, all six of the original Avengers signed a full-page ad in remembrance of Lee, addressing the writer, “Stan, we love you, we will miss you, we’re grateful to represent a small part of your amazing legacy.” If the speculation is anything to go by, several of these Phase 1 Avengers may soon be ending their run in the MCU, but with Boseman set to stay on for Black Panther 2, it’s clear that the work of Stan Lee will continue to endure and evolve in the years to come.
