Trailer For Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar

Clint Eastwood usually likes to keep his films under wraps until their initial release dates. Some images may surface, but when it comes to footage, audiences will, sometimes, not see anything until a month or two before the film is released. That being said, we finally get a trailer for his highly anticipated biopic of FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover, simply titled J. Edgar.

Edgar

Leonardo DiCaprio plays the title character and Armie Hammer (The Social Network) plays his partner and rumored love interest, Clyde Tolson. The trailer mainly depicts scenes from Hoover’s time at the Bureau, how obsessed he becomes with information and how corruption starts to seep into his life.

Judging by the trailer, this looks like a standard biopic that will also pack one gigantic punch in terms of performances. DiCaprio plays crazed, obsessive characters quite well (The Aviator, Shutter Island), so I’m curious to see what he does here.

J. Edgar was written by Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black (Milk) and produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. The movie also stars Naomi Watts, Josh Lucas and Judi Dench. It will be released on November 9, 2011.

Sorry, the video is currently unavailable.
