Avengers: Endgame Trailer Revealed More About Ant-Man Than You’d Think

Still, there was a brief, but important, tie-in during the mid-credits scene. To quickly refresh your memory, it saw Scott Lang stranded in the Quantum Realm after Hank, Hope and Janet were all victimized by Thanos’ fateful snap. Hey, if anything will persuade Ant-Man to desire payback against the Mad Titan, it was most assuredly that.

By now, I imagine you’ve already seen the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame that’s managed to set social media ablaze in very short order. And though it didn’t show us too much of what awaits in the second part of the epic – and probably didn’t need to because Disney is guaranteed everyone’s money – there were a few tidbits which were more telling than you’d think.

Of course, there’s the whole matter of Clint Barton adopting the Ronin persona that’s gotten heads turning, but I’d like to keep talking about Ant-Man for the time being. As you should remember, Scott Lang did put in an appearance at the end of the video package.

Aside from injecting humor into an otherwise emotionally heavy promo, it’s safe to say that this welcome surprise confirms Lang will escape from the Quantum Realm in short order. Furthermore, he’s reuniting with his old buddies, Captain America and Black Widow.

As expected, theories are already running rampant, but I think a cigar is just as cigar in this instance. If you were to ask me, Steve and Natasha’s shared amazement comes via realizing Scott wasn’t dusted by Thanos. And as for wondering if archival footage was playing, I’ll circle back to saying he was assumed dead. Or, I could be wrong, and there’s time travel at play.

Then again, we’re watching a scene taken out of context, so we’ll have to wait and see what Joe and Anthony Russo truly have in store for us when Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters on April 26th, 2019.
