Avengers 4 Trailer

Avengers: Endgame Is Now The Most Viewed Trailer In History

As expected, Avengers: Endgame has now become the most viewed trailer in history, amassing a whopping 289 million views in 24 hours.

The wait for the Avengers: Endgame trailer was truly agonizing. Every week brought with it fresh hope that was continually dashed, sending fans spiraling into misery.

First, one date would arrive and all the industry insiders would swear by it, then it would come and go without any sign of footage from the film. Things almost reached breaking point over the last two weeks, as the internet seemed confident that the trailer would be here on November 28th after a screening of Avengers: Infinity War hosted by the Russo brothers, but that didn’t pan out, either.

Following that, the trailer was once again delayed by the rather inconvenient death of former President George H.W. Bush, who after 94 years just had to give up the ghost on the week that Marvel was planning to release it and delay it further. We kid, of course.

But finally, it arrived yesterday morning and as expected, nearly broke the internet. In fact, the Avengers: Endgame trailer has already become the most viewed trailer in history, earning 289 million views in 24 hours, which breaks the previous record of 230 million, held by Infinity War.

Though great to hear, this is hardly very surprising. With the amount of hype and build-up that surrounded it, we would’ve been shocked if the Endgame trailer failed to break the record held by its predecessor. And of course, this means that it’s probably destined for a $2 billion or so gross at the box office as well, given that Infinity War did roughly $2.04 billion and one could argue that people are even more excited to see the sequel.

And though the trailer itself may not have told us a whole lot about Avengers: Endgame, it did drop several intriguing teases which will no doubt keeps fans speculating and theorizing for months until the next preview lands – which we imagine will be in February during the Super Bowl.
