Though Marvel Studios ultimately decided to keep the first Spider-Man: Far From Home teaser trailer within the walls of CCXP this past weekend, the Internet is still abuzz with news about Peter Parker’s next big-screen adventure. And it seems our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is headed to Europe, where he must “agree to help Nick Fury,” or risk seeding power to Hyrdo-Man and Mysterio.

Mind you, the latter may prove to be an unlikely ally for the Web-Head, given reports that Jake Gyllenhaal’s deranged intellect actually joined forces with Spider-Man during the first Far From Home trailer. The jury’s still out on that one, of course, but over at SuperBroMovies, a very brief synopsis has emerged, which offers some clues as to what comes next for the youngest Avenger.

We should stress that this unofficial logline has been lifted from a Russian website and translated into English, so you’ll have to forgive the awkward sentence structure.

Peter Parker and his friends go on a summer holiday trip to Europe. However, they will hardly be able to rest – Peter will have to agree to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of creatures that cause natural disasters and destruction throughout the continent.

Exactly what Nick Fury has to do with Far From Home‘s story remains to be seen, but there have been rumblings that, together with Maria Hill, he’ll help launch S.H.I.E.L.D. 2.0 in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, which will no doubt have far-reaching consequences with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Remember, Spider-Man: Far From Home has been angled as the first true Phase 4 movie, so it’s fair to say that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will be the one to steer Marvel’s juggernaut franchise into uncharted territory. And he’ll do so on July 5th, 2019.
