Justice League’s Henry Cavill Showers Praise On Aquaman

Taking to Instagram, former (?) Superman and Justice League star Henry Cavill has shared his verdict of Aquaman in the most hilarious way.

Say what you will about the ill-fated Justice League movie, but DC’s finest tend to look out for one another both on and off screen.

Case in point: former (?) Superman actor Henry Cavill has taken to Instagram to voice his love of Aquaman in the most hilarious way. The selfie, embedded below, wouldn’t look out of place on Ricky Gervais’ Twitter feed, as Cavill is seen dipping his head beneath the water and effectively toying with the perspective – just when you thought the Man of Steel’s chest was massive already…

Nevertheless, it’s fair to say that Henry Cavill has fallen head over heels in love with Aquaman and its spectacular story, as the following caption attests:

Channeling the man of the hour, the man of big hugs, big laughs and big pints of Guinness, my man Jason Momoa. How’d I do. Seriously though, I just finally got the chance to watch Aquaman here in Hungary. Jason, James and everyone involved in that movie, smashes it out of the (water)park. If you haven’t seen it yet, go check it out. Jason, love you bro, you crushed it.

And he’s not the only one; everyone from Zack Snyder to comic book scribe Kevin Smith have showered praise on DC’s King of the Seven, who continues to rule over the global box office with an iron fist. As a matter of fact, last we checked, Aquaman had scored $822 million worldwide and was well on its way to a billion-dollar haul. Not bad for a comic book character who was frequently ridiculed as the butt of the superhero jokes. Well, who’s laughing now?

Aquaman is currently playing across theaters near and far, and may well become DC’s highest-grossing movie since The Dark Knight Rises when all is said and done.
