Epic New Arrow Trailer Teases What’s To Come In Season 7B

Now that The Flash has returned from winter hiatus, the rest of our DC TV favorites calling The CW home are slowly but surely following suit. In fact, Arrow will resume its own ongoing saga just five days from the time of this writing. And, believe me, it looks like we're in for a real barn-burner.

Now that The Flash has returned from winter hiatus, the rest of our DC TV favorites calling The CW home are slowly but surely following suit. In fact, Arrow will resume its own ongoing saga just five days from the time of this writing. And, believe me, it looks like we’re in for a real barn-burner.

If you require proof, then one need only view the newly released trailer embedded at the top of this article. Aside from containing much in the way of action and assuring that Rene Ramirez is returning to the Wild Dog persona, it sheds a lot of light on what the second half of season 7 will entail. Previously, we hadn’t been given many hints at what’s to come now that Oliver Queen is out of prison and the new Emerald Archer in town has been revealed to be his estranged sister.

In fact, it could be surmised that a conflict between these two will be the main focus going forward. As you can see by the footage provided, Ollie must address the press and work within the parameters of the law now that he’s been sanctioned by the SCPD. His sister (Emiko?), meanwhile, is more reflective of the earlier days of his crusade.

Even though the Queen siblings are of different genders, it can be sometimes difficult to tell them apart in promos when they’re moving so fast – and wearing the exact same costumes, no less. For the most part, Oliver has his hood down due his secret identity being revealed, though he does wear it up for a little bit here. Sis, however, operates with the hood up and still dons a mask, so keep those details in mind.

For more on what’s coming next week, be sure to check out the official synopsis for “Shattered Lives”:

OLIVER RETURNS TO HIS REGULAR LIFE IN STAR CITY — Oliver (Stephen Amell) is ready to get back to work with the SCPD and to focus on his marriage with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). However, when Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) tasks Oliver with tracking the new Green Arrow (Sea Shimooka) things take a surprising turn. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) must answer to ARGUS about Diaz (Kirk Acevedo). Andi Armaganian directed the episode written by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes (#710).

Arrow returns with new episodes on Monday, January 21st on The CW.
