Detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are officially making a comeback, so batten down the hatches and prepare for another helping of testosterone-fueled action. Minus the Bayhem, of course.
In the director’s place are franchise newcomers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who began shooting blockbuster threequel Bad Boys For Life earlier this week. Excitement is already through the roof, what with action fans gleefully anticipating the moment when Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reunite on the big screen.
And with precisely 365 days standing between now and release, Just Jared has uncovered a host of set photos, which showcase both Smith and Lawrence in the thick of it. But first, a little casting update: Now that filming has commenced, it’s been announced that DJ Khaled will star opposite the fast-talking duo, with the rapper posting the following status report to Instagram:

DJ Khaled now joins a host of top-tier talent lining the Bad Boys For Life cast sheet, including Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Jacob Scipio and Paola Nuñez. Plot details are currently few and far between, but we imagine Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett will be dragged back into Miami’s criminal underbelly as part of a new narcotics investigation. However, this being a Bad Boys movie, things don’t go exactly according to plan…
Bad Boys For Life is locked in for January 17th, 2020 – so let the one-year countdown commence.
