Avengers: Endgame Star Don Cheadle Refuses To Do Press With Mark Ruffalo

It’s been a little while now since Mark Ruffalo last lived up to his reputation as a human spoiler machine, but it seems that his Avengers: Endgame co-stars haven’t yet forgotten his track record of accidental intel, with Don Cheadle touching on the matter once when he guested on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

When the subject of Ruffalo’s history of dropping spoilers came up, Cheadle took the opportunity to explain why he refuses to do any press with the man, telling Fallon:

“Why do I need that hassle, right? I don’t need to be sitting next to him when he blows the whole reveal of the movie.”

Fallon himself knows Ruffalo’s reputation as a blabbermouth all too well, with the Hulk actor drawing some attention last year when he supposedly let slip the official title of Avengers 4 on The Tonight Show. But while it eventually became clear that this supposed spoiler was not legit, the same cannot be said of the time Ruffalo gave away the ending of Avengers: Infinity War during an interview with Good Morning America. Indeed, Cheadle was sitting right next to his co-star when Ruffalo outright admitted that “everybody dies,” and you can understand why he wouldn’t want to be put in the same awkward position again.

Regardless, based on all we’ve heard about the Infinity War sequel, there’s probably only so much Ruffalo will be able to spoil about this one. Karen Gillan, for instance, claimed a few months ago that she’s never even seen a full script for the upcoming flick, suggesting that similar measures were probably taken with the more leak-prone Ruffalo. In any case, we’ll find out what secrets there are to spoil when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
