It’s been a while now since Tom Holland last dropped one of his patented spoilers, but as the release date of Avengers: Endgame looms closer, the Spider-Man actor just might be getting a little paranoid that he’ll let something slip.

That’s one way of interpreting Holland’s response to a recent parody article, which was published last week on Fantastic Fools under the headline “Tom Holland Accidentally Uploads Entire Avengers 4 Movie To Twitter.” Shortly after publication, the tongue-in-cheek post came to the attention of the Spider-Man: Far From Home star himself, who shared the following reply via Instagram:

“This actually stressed me out. For a second I was like ‘shit did I?’”

It probably doesn’t need to be said that leaking the entirety of Endgame to Twitter is pretty much impossible at this stage, but if it was, you could argue that this is more of a Mark Ruffalo kind of blunder, seeing how the Bruce Banner actor once accidentally live-streamed the opening minutes of Thor: Ragnarok to social media.

In any case, based on all we’ve heard about Marvel’s intense spoiler security tactics, there’s surely only so much that Holland will be able to let slip about Endgame in the coming months, with Karen Gillan mentioning last year that cast members didn’t even get to see a full script for the Avengers: Infinity War sequel.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped Holland from dropping the odd hint already, but lately the actor has proven to be a little more careful with what he says, and he’ll only have to stay tight-lipped for another few months until Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019. After that, a newly revived Peter Parker will return to the spotlight when Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 5th.
