Spider-Man: Far From Home Theory Connects The Elementals To Avengers: Endgame

In case it needed to be said, Avengers: Endgame is set to bring some big changes to the MCU, and if a comment made by Sony producer Amy Pascal back in 2017 is anything to go by, the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home will kick off just “a few minutes after Avengers 4 wraps as a story.” It therefore seems very likely that the content of the Avengers: Infinity War sequel will heavily impact the story of Far From Home in more ways than the fact that Peter Parker is now back from the dead.

A new piece from Screen Rant, for instance, suggests that the various Elementals that feature in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel could have been brought into this universe by the events of Endgame. The theory stems in part from a synopsis for Marvel’s Phase 3 finale that emerged last year, stating that “Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is.” From the sound of things, the very fabric of existence could be at risk in the upcoming flick – a notion that happens to tie in very well with the increasingly popular prediction that Endgame will see our heroes travel back in time.

In any case, the theory observes how excessive time travel led to the merging of different realities in the comic book storyline “Age of Ultron,” resulting in the introduction of new characters from alternate dimensions. With this in mind, you could argue that Endgame has the potential to pull the same trick, and among these newcomers could indeed be the Elementals. In fact, the Elementals in the comics also dwelled in another universe, having been banished from the reality of our heroes over 3,000 years ago, suggesting that their MCU equivalents just might have similar origins.

Of course, this is only speculation for the time being, but we’ll find out if there’s any truth to theory when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019, followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5th.
