Aquaman may have dominated the box office in recent months, but right now, the superhero of the moment is Captain Marvel, and with Brie Larson set to make her MCU debut next week, Jason Momoa has taken to social media to offer his seal of approval.

Earlier this week, Larson shared some photos via Instagram from the UK premiere of Captain Marvel, and in the comments of one image, Momoa shared a few kind words:

“Congrats love. So stoked for you”

Clearly, the star of the highest-grossing DC movie ever made has no time for brand rivalries. Incidentally, Momoa isn’t the only DCEU superhero to show his support for Captain Marvel in the past week. A few days ago, Shazam! star Zachary Levi also shared a video condemning trolls who were posting “inflammatory,” “defamatory,” and “completely fictitious” comments about the film online.

But despite this backlash from certain vocal corners of the internet, the current situation bodes well for Captain Marvel, which has already received a glowing reception from earlier viewers on social media. Opening weekend projections, meanwhile, are similarly promising, ranging from Researcher Exhibitor Relations’ forecast of $118 million domestically, to Box Office Pro’s prediction of $160 million.

As for advance ticket sales, Fandango reported more than two weeks in advance of the movie’s release that it had already surpassed the presales of Aquaman and Wonder Woman, while IMAX presales are tracking ahead of Thor: Ragnarok. Overall, things are looking pretty good for Captain Marvel, but you can judge for yourself if the film is worth all the hype when it comes out on March 8th. After that, the DCEU will be offering its sole contribution to cinemas this year when Shazam! hits theaters on April 5th.
