Zack Snyder’s Bringing Us A Weekend Of Director’s Cuts Later This Month

Today is the 53rd birthday of director Zack Snyder, and to mark the occasion, the filmmaker has announced that he’s finally doing what DC fans have been demanding for the last year-and-a-half, and is bringing us The Snyder Cut – three Snyder Cuts, in fact. But before the fan forums get their hopes up, it’s probably worth clarifying that an unseen version of Justice League is not on the way.

In an event that can’t help but have a slight tongue-in-cheek feel to it, Zack Snyder: The Director’s Cuts will take place from March 22nd to the 24th at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena. Each day will see the screening of one director’s cut, followed by a Q&A with Snyder and various members of the cast and crew. First up is Dawn of the Dead Director’s Cut, which shows at 6pm on the 22nd. After that is Watchmen Director’s Cut, screening at 4pm on the 23rd. And lastly, on the 24th, is a showing of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition at 4pm.

While these may not be the Snyder Cuts that fans were hoping for, it could still be an interesting and entertaining opportunity to catch some of the divisive director’s works in their relatively uncompromised forms on the big screen, before hearing some thoughts from the man himself. And though Justice League isn’t among the films showing, it seems inevitable that the subject will come up during the Q&As.

If you’re interested, you can find more info on the event by visiting the ArtCenter website. In the meantime, here’s hoping Zack Snyder can spill a few details on his upcoming Army of the Dead.
