Spider-Man Avengers: Infinity War

Marvel Fan Spots Spider-Man On Avengers: Endgame Poster In Savage Joke

The genocidal snap that concluded Avengers: Infinity War may have been the cause of much despair in the Marvel fandom, but let’s be honest, it’s also been the source of plenty of humor. In the last year, everybody up to and including Robert Downey Jr. has joked about the sad fate suffered by half of the MCU’s inhabitants, and in response to the Avengers: Endgame poster that dropped this morning, it seems the trend continues.

The spoiler-free image exhibits the many snap survivors confirmed to star in the upcoming Infinity War sequel, including the villainous Thanos, who looms in the background. But in the dust surrounding the current line-up, a Twitter user named Chicken_Nugget_Kingg ‏claims to have spotted a certain webslinger, circling their finding in the below image and captioning their post as follows:

“LOOK GUYS SPIDER-MAN IS ON THE POSTER”

While being made fun of on the internet is the least of Peter Parker’s problems right now, it’s generally assumed that Endgame will see the character return to the world of the living, along with his many dusted peers. For one thing, the hero is mere months away from getting another solo movie in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home. And seeing how producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige have both gone on record saying that the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will take place after Endgame, it feels safe to assume that the wall-crawler will be back in one piece by the end of next month’s release.

How exactly Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are going to reverse the snap remains the number one question, but we’ll find out when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, before Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 5th.
