Samuel L. Jackson Failing To Name All The Infinity Stones Goes Viral

The moment came in a recent Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late Late Show with James Corden. When his Captain Marvel co-star Brie Larson asked him to list all of the Infinity Stones, Jackson instead started naming the seven deadly sins, and the moment has since gone viral on Twitter.

Really driving home the letdown of the moment is the look on Larson’s face, which quickly shifts from cheery and optimistic to bewildered and disappointed.

For those who don’t recall, the correct answers are Space, Mind, Reality, Power, Soul and Time, and to be fair, it’s a tricky list to remember for an actor who only showed up in the post-credits of Infinity War. In the audio commentary for the film’s home release, even co-writer Stephen McFeely acknowledges that six MacGuffins is a lot for one story, and admits that they probably would’ve gone with fewer stones if it weren’t for the source material.

While the Infinity Stones were ultimately what killed Nick Fury at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, it’s long been clear that Jackson still has a future in the MCU. For one thing, Fury looks to have a major role in Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is headed for theaters on July 5th, 2019. As for Avengers: Endgame, Jackson’s involvement is still up in the air, but we’ll certainly be seeing his friend Brie Larson once more when the film hits theaters on April 26th.
