Avengers: Endgame

The Avengers: Endgame Score Is Officially Complete

If there’s only one piece of original music from the MCU films that you can hum from memory, then chances are it’s the main theme for the Avengers movies, composed by Alan Silvestri. Over the years, the two-time Oscar nominee has played a significant role in defining the mood of the superhero saga, and with Avengers: Endgame just five weeks away from release, it seems that Silvestri’s work on Marvel’s Phase 3 finale is now complete.

Earlier today, co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo took to Twitter with a photo of themselves and Silvestri, alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and executive producer Trinh Tran. In the caption, the pair offered the following update:

“One of the greatest highlights of our career was getting to work with Alan Silvestri.

The Endgame score is complete…”

Endgame isn’t the first time that the Russo Brothers have collaborated with the film’s composer, who also provided the music for last year’s Avengers: Infinity War. Before that, Silvestri had worked on 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and 2012’s The Avengers, making him one of the MCU’s earliest composers, as well as the saga’s latest.

It’s now been two weeks since the Russos declared the Infinity War sequel to be officially “locked,” and it looks like things are coming along smoothly for the movie’s release on April 26th. In slightly over a week, it’s expected that tickets for Avengers: Endgame will start going on sale, at which point, we hopefully won’t have to wait much longer for an official runtime. After all, if a film is going to take up 3 hours of your day, you’ll probably want to know about it before you book that screening.
