A new promo for Avengers: Endgame teases the journey that Iron Man's been taken on throughout the MCU, which will likely wrap up next week.

“Every Journey Has An End,” says this new promo for Avengers: Endgame, while showing some key moments from throughout Iron Man’s MCU history. At this point, it’s almost as if Marvel Studios has stopped trying to hide that next week’s release will be Tony Stark’s final outing, and the fans are already fearing the worst.

Granted, no one at Marvel has yet come out and said that the Avengers leader is going to meet his maker in the Infinity War sequel, but as the oldest hero in the franchise, he certainly seems like the most probable choice, along with Captain America, when it comes to who the studio will kill off.

Then again, who knows? Both characters may get happy endings instead and ride off into the sunset, so to speak. Though if all that talk about the stakes in Endgame being higher than ever is true, it seems likely that at least one of the aforementioned Avengers will have fallen by the time the end credits roll.

At this point, it’s hard to say where Tony’s arc will take him in the film, but whatever’s next for Iron Man, co-director Anthony Russo recently told us that the hero will continue to grow and change in the upcoming flick.

“We’re always looking for the most epic journey we can take the characters on,” Russo remarked. “Often that means, whether it’s Cap or Tony, taking them as far away from where they started as possible.”

Speaking of being far away, some of the footage we’ve seen from Avenges: Endgame has teased a scene where Tony Stark is stuck in space, and on the verge of running out of oxygen. Of course, the clip has caused much speculation and debate on how exactly he returns to Earth on time to help out his friends in their fight against Thanos, but our answer will no doubt arrive when the film hits theaters next week, on April 26th.
