New Avengers: Endgame TV Spot Reveals First Footage Of Valkyrie

This new Avengers: Endgame TV spot has a ton of fresh footage, including our very first look at Valkyrie in the upcoming film.

What with the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel fans have been furiously theorizing for the past year or so about the fates of the characters that we didn’t get to see in the movie. In fact, one that folks were really worried about – and understandably so – was Valkyrie, as played by Tessa Thompson in Thor: Ragnarok.

But finally, last month, her very own character poster and the Chinese poster for Avengers: Endgame officially confirmed that she’ll return to the MCU next week in the upcoming sequel, and now we have our first look at her in the film. In the new TV spot seen above, we get a brief shot of Thompson’s fan favorite hero, and though the context of the scene is unknown, she appears to be in plain clothes here and not in her armor, though don’t take that to mean she won’t be engaging in a little combat in the movie.

Whatever her role ultimately ends up being, we’re happy to have her back regardless. After all, Valkyrie was one of the best parts of the aforementioned Ragnarok and fans have been hoping to see her again up on the big screen for a while now. With any luck, maybe she’ll even get to team-up with Captain Marvel. It’s something that both the viewers and the actresses who play the characters want to see happen, and it’d certainly result in some thrilling action scenes, don’t you think?

But we digress. For now, it’s nice to finally get a proper look at Thompson in the film – despite how brief it is – and we’re definitely excited to see how she gets along with the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes when Avengers: Endgame descends into theaters next week, on April 26th.
