Ant-Man 3 Rumored To Crawl Into Theaters In July 2022

A new leak's pointed to Marvel developing Ant-Man 3, and it could be here as soon as July 2022. That being said, we advise taking this with a grain of salt.

Amidst all the news, speculation and debate about the future of the MCU, it’s not often we hear the Ant-Man series get a whole lot of mentions, which is actually a bit surprising when you consider the unusual place that the property currently holds in the Marvel franchise.

True, Scott Lang isn’t one of the Phase 1 heroes like Iron Man or Captain America, but he also isn’t among the more recent additions like Black Panther, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, whose first sequels are still to come. And while the character’s solo outings usually don’t generate as much excitement as some of the MCU’s other entries, most fans would still be upset if Lang’s journey came to a close with Avengers: Endgame.

Thankfully, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as a new rumor’s emerged this week which says Ant-Man 3 will crawl into theaters on July 29th, 2022. Given that this is an unverified leak, we advise taking it with a grain of salt. That being said, this isn’t the first we’ve heard of a possible threequel for the hero.

Not to mention that though last year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp was considered to be one of the less relevant entries in the overarching MCU narrative, Endgame showed us that it was actually a lot more important than people gave it credit for, especially in terms of how it teased further activity in the Quantum Realm.

In any case, the cast certainly seem game for more. Paul Rudd was recently asked if he had any ideas about where an Ant-Man 3 could go and admitted that he had some things in mind that he’d like to see explored in a threequel, though he wouldn’t go into further detail. Michael Douglas, meanwhile, has said that he’s hoping for a prequel movie all to himself, and Evangeline Lilly has her eyes on an all-female Avengers flick.

It’s pretty clear then that we’ll be seeing all of these actors reprising their roles on screen again at some point, and it wouldn’t surprise us if that’s in Ant-Man 3, which once again, is rumored to be crawling into theaters on July 29th, 2022.
