Justice League Stars Ray Fisher And Ezra Miller’s Contracts Expire Next Week

With their contracts set to expire, it looks like Justice League actors Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher might be on their way out.

While many would argue that it’s generally overshadowed by its Marvel counterpart, it’d be a mistake to simply dismiss the DC Extended Universe. Though it might not boast the same level of success as Disney’s never-ending series of films, it’s still grossed well over $5 billion across 7 movies, which is nothing to scoff at. And with Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman 1984and The Batman in the works, it looks like Warner Bros. Pictures may have finally found a stable foundation upon which to build a successful shared universe.

That being said, while fans are excited to see the Caped Crusader and the Amazonian princess in theaters again, it looks like some of the DCEU’s mainstays might not be returning for future projects. As reported by ComicBook.comJustice League actors Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller may be making their departure from Warner Bros., seeing as how their contracts are set to expire at the end of the month. Fisher, best known for playing Victor Stone/Cyborg, made his big screen debut in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, while Miller (Barry Allen/The Flash) has seen success outside of the DCEU with a starring role in the Fantastic Beasts films.

Of course, there’s always the chance that the two actors will resign their contracts in the coming days. While it’s not entirely clear what lies in store for Cyborg (ever since his solo film was canned), it does seem that Warner Bros. is pulling the trigger on a standalone movie centered on the Flash, which will be directed by Spider-Man: Homecoming writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

With so many casting changes hitting the DCEU at once (Twilight actor Robert Pattinson was confirmed to be taking on the role of Batman), we’re hopeful that Warner Bros. can come to an agreement and find a way to keep Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller in the family. After all, we’d hate to have a mix of old and new actors should a Justice League sequel ever see the light of day.
