Sylvester Stallone’s A Force To Be Reckoned With In New Rambo V: Last Blood Action Clip

While he might be a little older than most Hollywood action heroes, Sylvester Stallone - who turns 73 in a few weeks - is still a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the studio backlot. Despite his age, the star of Rocky has kept himself in terrific shape over the past few decades, and if a new Rambo V: Last Blood clip is anything to go by, he won't be slowing down anytime soon.

As reported by Bloody Disgusting, Stallone has been sharing a handful of new photos and videos to promote the movie’s September release. Earlier this month, he headed to the 72nd Cannes Film Festival in France to show off Rambo V, as well as a sneak peek at the upcoming 4K restoration of First Blood. Yesterday, Sylvester took to his Instagram profile to share a behind the scenes look at the next entry in the long-running franchise.

In the clip (which we’ve embedded below), Stallone is seen rehearsing an action scene with the cast and crew. On the set of a dusty cave, the man behind John Rambo practices unloading an empty shotgun, before picking up a spear and using it in brutal fashion.

It’s not entirely clear what the context is behind this specific sequence, but it looks like he’ll be taking out a few baddies, as evidenced by the empty shotgun shells and the deadly use of the aforementioned spear. In fact, plot details are pretty scarce at this point – all that’s known is the film follows John as he heads south of the border in order to rescue a friend’s daughter, who’s been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.

We’ve only seen a few glimpses of it, but so far, Rambo V: Last Blood is shaping up to be something special, and most of us here at We Got This Covered can’t wait to see Sylvester Stallone in action. Thankfully, with a release set for September 20th, it looks like we won’t have to wait long to catch John Rambo back on the big screen.
