Chris Hemsworth And Tessa Thompson Want A Thor/Valkyrie/Captain Marvel Love Triangle

Captain Marvel might not have shared as much screentime with her fellow heroes in Avengers: Endgame as we were all hoping, but that hasn't stopped fans from trying to pair her up with a few of the other Avengers. Folks just want to see the cosmically-powered heroine find some domestic happiness and so far, the top pick for her ideal partner is Valkyrie, though some are also shipping her with Thor.

But why force her to choose? Why can’t she have both?

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson have voted for an MCU love triangle between Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers and their Asgardian Avengers. While speaking with MTV, the pair were asked what their buddy Marvel movie spinoff would be like and Thompson jumped on the idea of a rom-con.

“A rom-com. Like we both try and fix each other’s love lives.” Thompson then added: “Everyone knows who I’m dating.”

Hemsworth then asks “Who are you dating”, causing Thompson to reply: “You don’t know?”

“Well, I’ve heard rumors,” Hemsworth said, revealing he stays up to date with Twitter. “I’ve heard a few, what do they call it? Shipping.”

“Shipping,” Thompson repeated. “I’m being shipped with…” Hemsworth then finished the sentence for her: “Captain Marvel.”

Hemsworth got a little jealous as well, explaining: “I thought Thor was being shipped..” Thompson then summed up the concept that could make Phase Four the best one yet:

“With Captain Marvel? That’s why I’m saying. Let’s make a love triangle. Let’s make an MCU, oh my gosh, let’s make an MCU like thriller. You know those old like 90s who’s going to be with who. It could be light. Just a rom-com about like the three of us.”

Marvel has tried on different genres in its past movies – thrillers, heist films, high school dramas and the like. Surely a rom-con can’t be far away then, right?

Let Hemsworth, Thompson and Larson star in it and you’ve got $1 billion in the bank, job done. It would certainly be an interesting creative direction to take either Thor 4 or Captain Marvel 2 in, that’s for sure.
