Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier Expected To Appear In Four More Marvel Movies

If you thought the Winter Soldier would be relegated to Disney Plus shows, think again. Sebastian Stan is expected to appear in a few more Marvel films.

While Avengers: Endgame neatly tied up the series’ long-standing mysteries and hanging plot threads, it also introduced a handful of burning questions, especially when it comes to the fate of certain characters. While some have speculated Captain America would find his way into Loki’s Disney Plus show, there are a lot of key players who are still up in the air. Unfortunately, it looks like Black Widow’s death was permanent, and as a result, many have assumed that her standalone film will take place in the past.

And then there’s the matter of the Winter Soldier and Falcon. While the pair are definitely getting their own series on Disney Plus, some fans have assumed their move to the small screen would exclude them from appearing in future Marvel films. Though we can’t exactly speak as to how Sam Wilson’s arc pans out, a recent report suggests Sebastian Stan will return to play Bucky Barnes in a handful of movies.

Jeremy Conrad, the founder and editor-in-chief of MCUCosmic.com, recently took to Twitter to shed some light on the matter. As he pointed out in a recent tweet, Sebastian Stan signed a nine-movie contract with Marvel and Disney. So far, he’s only appeared in five films: the three Captain America flicks (First Avenger, Winter Soldier, Civil War), and both Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. Assuming this contract hasn’t been voided or broken, it seems that Sebastian still has four movies to appear in.

“Seeing some false rumors being spread around by people claiming that Bucky is done after the Disney+ series. That’s not true,” said Conrad.” “Sebastian Stan had a nine-movie Marvel contract. He’s only fulfilled half of that. ”

Cap Trilogy = 3
Infinity War + Endgame = 2

He still has 4 movies.

Frankly, we’d love to see more of the Winter Soldier on the big screen, especially since there’s plenty of lore that hasn’t been covered. Personally, I wouldn’t mind getting to watch Bucky and Nat’s first fight, which saw him shoot through her abdomen in order to take out his target. Fingers crossed, eh?
