Marvel Studios’ 2021 Slate May’ve Been Revealed

A trusted tipster over on Reddit has seemingly revealed which films Marvel Studios will be releasing in 2021, and the slate is looking pretty good.

Avengers: Endgame wasn’t the final installment in Marvel’s Phase 3 (that honor will go to Spider-Man: Far From Home), but it did introduce some pretty major changes to the MCU that will undoubtedly go on to impact the upcoming Phase 4. Unfortunately, Marvel Studios has yet to make any official announcements on what they’re planning to release beyond this year, but given what we know, we can make some pretty good guesses.

For one, it’s widely assumed that the first entry in Phase 4 will be the long-awaited Black Widow spinoff. And after the sad fate suffered by Natasha Romanoff in Endgame, it’s all but guaranteed that the film will be a prequel. Specifically, there’s a good chance that it’ll act as an origin story, which would be fascinating to see. But what comes after that?

With so many projects in various stages of development, it’s hard to pin down exactly what Kevin Feige and co. have on their release calendar but over on Reddit, verified and trusted tipster TheMarvelScoopster has struck again, saying that he believes the 2021 slate to include Doctor Strange 2Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Shang-Chi.

Though this individual has, as mentioned above, been verified by the mods over on Reddit, we’d still advise taking their latest intel drop with a grain of salt. That being said, it seems entirely plausible given that we know each project has already begun, at the very least, pre-production. Vol. 3 may be a bit tricky as James Gunn won’t shoot it until he’s done with The Suicide Squad, but it’s said to be a very high priority project for Marvel so we’re sure they’ll be able to make it work.

In any case, we’ll know soon enough if this leak is accurate, as Marvel Studios plans to officially announce their Phase 4 slate this summer at D23. And if what they reveal matches up with what TheMarvelScoopster’s been saying over on Reddit, then we’re certainly in store for a very exciting couple of years.
