Avengers: Endgame BTS Video Reveals How Iron Man’s Death Really Happened

A brand new video from behind the scenes of Avengers: Endgame shows how Iron Man's death really went down, without all the VFX.

Everything came to a head in Avengers: Endgame when Iron Man and Thanos came face to face on the battlefield during the film’s climax. It was a similar moment to their last confrontation in Avengers: Infinity War, but only this time, Stark had the Infinity Gauntlet and intended on using it to wipe Thanos from existence for good.

The Mad Titan arrogantly told Tony “I am inevitable.” To which Iron Man had the perfect response, saying “I am Iron Man” before snapping his fingers and finally defeating the villain once and for all. But at a great cost, as the force ultimately took his life. What followed was a moment that had almost everyone in the theater crying and now, we have an interesting look at how it really went down behind the scenes.

Over on Instagram, a cool new video has been shared which shows the team filming Iron Man’s death and while it’s not terribly long, fans will no doubt get a kick out of it. Just make sure you have some tissues handy before you watch.

Heartbreaking, eh? Of course, the upcoming Blu-ray release of Avengers: Endgame will no doubt go far more in-depth into this particular moment, but for now, this video’s a nice little treat and a tease of what’s to come. Speaking of which, the bonus features for the disc were revealed the other day, promising lots of goodies for fans to sink their teeth into.

But first, the MCU continues with the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home next month – July 2nd, to be exact – and apparently, it’ll come packing two post-credits scenes that you won’t want to miss.
