Deadpool Creator Calls For The Release Of The Justice League Snyder Cut

Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld has tweeted out in support of the Snyder Cut of Justice League, declaring "everyone wants it released!"

These days, it seems like more people are talking about Zack Snyder’s mythical cut of Justice League than the actual film itself. This makes sense, too, considering the whole #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign is based around the fact that the theatrically released edition of the movie is actually pretty forgettable.

Now, Rob Liefeld, the creator of Deadpool – arguably the least forgettable superhero of all time – is throwing his support behind the movement. Earlier this week, the comic book writer-artist retweeted a link about the Snyder Cut, and captioned it “Everyone wants it released! Give it to us!”

This actually isn’t the first time Liefeld has taken to Twitter to call for the director’s original edit. In fact, just a few weeks after Justice League was in theaters, the controversial comics figure was sharing a #ReleaseTheSnyderCut petition:

The final edition of Justice League was helmed by Avengers director Joss Whedon, who stepped in after Snyder quit for personal reasons. The resulting film was a bit of a mess though, the victim of numerous reshoots and rushed digital effects, with some fans going as far to accuse Whedon of trying to turn the DCEU picture into an MCU movie.

For a film that Warner Bros. says doesn’t exist, we sure have seen a lot from it. Last month, Snyder himself posted a frame of a deleted Cyborg scene as well as an image of Young Darkseid, a character completely removed from the final cut of Justice League, almost conclusively proving his take exists in some form. Prior to its failure at the box office, Snyder’s movie was supposed to kick off an entire trilogy, filled with death, destruction, and time travel. Now, it’s looking more and more likely that any future sequel will instead serve as a complete reboot, for better or worse.

Tell us, though, are you still hoping to see a Snyder Cut release of Justice League sometime in the near future? Let us know in the comments section down below.
