Did Far From Home Set Up Daredevil For Spider-Man 3?

After the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, there's a chance that Peter Parker will need to enlist the aid of a lawyer. What about Matt Murdock?

If you already took the time to check out Spider-Man: Far From Home in theaters – or if you’ve looked up spoilers – you’re aware of just how hectic things have gotten for Peter Parker. Not only is he having to adjust to a post-Snap world without the help of Iron Man, but he’s had to face off against a rather formidable foe, one who managed to trick the young superhero into giving up a powerful piece of Stark Industries tech.

Worse yet, at the end of the film, just as things were looking up for the young man, Mysterio emerged from beyond the grave – that is, assuming he actually died in the first place. Not only did he frame Spidey for the drone attack in London, but he revealed his true identity, which is sure to prove problematic for Peter moving forward.

As you might imagine, plenty of fan theories have begun to hit the web, postulating what’s in store for Spidey in future films. One interesting idea shared by MCU Cosmic poses a rather curious question, though: what if Spider-Man needs a lawyer?

As Jeremy Conrad speculates, with all the potential legal trouble that Peter might find himself in, he may just end up being represented by none other than Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil. Seeing as how both of them are based in New York City, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility.

As Conrad also notes, Marvel will be able to use the character as early as 2021 (due to licensing agreements), and recently, studio head Kevin Feige revealed that discussing any use of Netflix characters in the MCU would constitute a spoiler. Is he hinting at a big screen appearance? Perhaps.

We were big fans of Daredevil‘s third season, and frankly, we wouldn’t mind him coming to save the day, considering how messed up things have gotten for Peter after the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Only time will tell though if this is indeed what Marvel has planned.
