Today's patch saw the arrival of new legends Wattson to Apex Legends. She's an interesting new character who distinguishes herself by relying on electric devices that can hinder and damage enemies, meaning that she's much more of a defensive character than previous legends. But enough about how she plays, here's how to dress her up in a cute as hell unicorn-themed skin. Today’s patch saw the arrival of new legend Wattson to Apex Legends. The free “Sweet Dreams” skins are part of Respawn Entertainment’s ongoing partnership with Twitch Prime, and are just the beginning of a month of free cosmetics scheduled to be released in July.

The Wattson skin jettisons her base teal and orange jacket in favor of something a little more…striking. It’s a bright purple jacket with vivid yellow trim and comes with a My Little Pony style unicorn decal on the chest. It’s safe to say that if you’re after a skin that can camouflage you, you should probably look elsewhere.

The pack also includes a skin for the long-awaited L-Star gun, which gives it a similarly garish colour scheme featuring a bright pink unicorn with a pastel blue mane. Stylin’.

Anyhow, you can claim these for free if you have an Amazon Prime account. Here are the steps:

  1. Sign into your account on Twitch.
  2. Link your Amazon Prime account to Twitch.
  3. Link your Twitch account to the account you use to play Apex Legends (for console owners this will be PSN or Xbox Live, for PC players Origin).
  4. Claim dat loot. When you next sign in it’ll be there.

With the Season 2 Battle Pass looking like an improvement on the lacklustre Season 1 (it’s at least got a more interesting progression system), let’s hope for similarly neat cosmetics being handed out as the month goes on. In the meantime, it’s going to take me a while to get used to Wattson’s unique playstyle. So, if you see a unicorn-themed Wattson out there in Apex Legends putting down fences in odd places and generally struggling, go easy on me.
