Tom Holland Throws Shade At Spider-Man: Far From Home Posters

Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon have been poking fun at some of the film's posters.

Despite only being in theaters for a full day, it looks like Spider-Man: Far From Home is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s biggest hits to date. On top of breaking a couple of box office records, fans have been going wild for the film’s twists and turns, the actor’s performances, and of course, the insane mid and post-credits sequences, which are sure to have a large impact on Phase 4 of the MCU.

Of course, there’s always a chance that, in a few weeks, fans will begin to find problems with the film. It’s become fairly standard for MCU movies to catch a lot of flak for just about anything, but as ComicBook.com recently reported, some of Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s stars have been poking fun at the promotional posters that Sony and Marvel whipped up.

As part of a recent press tour, Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) and Zendaya (MJ) sat down to speak with the BBC to promote the new film. During the interview, the three stars pointed out some of the odd design decisions with one of the movie’s posters, noting that Tom Holland’s proportions seemed a little… off.

“Does that even look like you?” Batalon asked.

“You know, it doesn’t,” Holland replied. “That poster makes me so upset. That’s probably Tobey Maguire’s body on my head. It’s not even my body! I don’t know why they did that.”

The BBC interviewer jested the photoshopped poster was probably a bit cheaper to produce. Holland continued the joking and speculated Sony would be freaking out that some of the film’s stars are actively ridiculing their promotional material.

Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time a Spider-Man: Far From Home actor has taken issue with one of its posters. As we previously reported, Samuel L. Jackson pointed out that some of the promotional material was poorly designed, and featured Nick Fury’s eye patch on the wrong side. Yikes!
