2017’s The Last Jedi left the Star Wars fanbase in a divided state, but according to Daisy Ridley, the upcoming Rise of Skywalker should serve as a crowd-pleasing conclusion to the decades-spanning Skywalker Saga.
The Rey actress was recently on PeopleTV, where she was asked to predict, on a scale of 1 to 10, just how satisfied audiences will be with the Sequel Trilogy finale. Though Ridley refrained from giving a specific figure, she did offer the following response:
“I think very satisfied. Everything we were doing felt, in the moment, really good.”
This is far from the first time that Ridley has offered her assurance that The Rise of Skywalker will be everything the fans are hoping for. During a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, for instance, the star had some kind words to say about writer Chris Terrio, and claimed that film does “a great job with all the relationships.”
Granted, it probably goes without saying that Ridley is hardly an impartial source on such matters, but for what it’s worth, she’s far from the only cast member to claim that The Rise of Skywalker wraps up the whole series in a satisfying manner. Just take Poe Dameron actor Oscar Isaac, who described the conclusion to the Skywalker Saga as “incredibly fulfilling” in an interview with IndieWire earlier this year.
In any case, fans still have a few more months to speculate on what’s next for Rey and her Resistance peers, though Ridley has already hinted that this year’s release might be her final outing in the series. Time will tell if the actress is only bluffing, but either way, we’ll find out if she can at least make it to the end of the Sequel Trilogy when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20th.
