Black Widow Post-Credits Scene Rumored To Introduce Deadpool

It certainly would be interesting if Deadpool made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in a post-credits scene for Black Widow.

As we’ve reported on before, it looks like Disney is having some internal struggles when it comes to figuring out the best way to integrate Deadpool into the MCU. Following the company’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox, they’ve been given control over franchises including X-Men and the Fantastic Four. While it looks like the mutants will be rebooted in a few years – they need some time off after the awful Dark Phoenix – we’ve heard that Kevin Feige and the team over at Marvel Studios are trying to balance the Merc’s graphic and violent R-rated flicks with the more family-friendly Avengers films.

We aren’t entirely sure how Wade Wilson will make his MCU debut, but a new report from Cosmic Book News seems to suggest that Deadpool is set to appear in the franchise’s next movie. Of course, before we dive any further into this, we should get one thing out of the way, and that’s that the rumor in question is just that, an unconfirmed piece of news which should be taken with a heavy dose of salt.

With that said, Tim Vo from Lords of the Long Box claims that everyone’s favorite loquacious Merc is set to appear in a post-credits scene from the upcoming, standalone Black Widow film. As Tim reports, the clip in question will feature Taskmaster, who meets Deadpool in a bar, perhaps serving as a parody to a similar scene involving Thaddeus Ross and Tony Stark, as seen at the end of The Incredible Hulk.

Frankly, we’d be surprised if this rumor turns out to be true, but we fully admit that it would be a great way to keep the fans happy and tide them over until Deadpool can make a proper debut with a good amount of screen time. In any case, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on any further updates that roll in but for now, tell us, do you think there’s any truth to this rumor? As always, let us know down below.
