Deadline is reporting that Immortals director Tarsem Singh has announced that his next film after Mirror Mirror will be Travis Beacham’s spec script, Killing On Carnival Row.

Killing On Carnival Row has been floating around for quite some time, with it originally having Guillermo del Toro at the helm and Hugh Jackman starring.

The film is “set in a fantasy world where humans live side by side with mystical creatures, a serial killer is on the loose murdering faeries”, then when a  “human detective becomes a prime suspect and he must find the real killer in order to clear his name.”

Singh, who is currently deep in post production for Mirror Mirror, will now begin casting the film. Production on the “noir-style fantasy thriller” will begin next June in New Orleans with a 2013 release.
