The other day we told you that Angelina Jolie had been cast in Ridley Scott‘s Gertrude Bell biopic. We also mentioned that another Ridley Scott film, Gucci, about the 1995 murder of Maurizio Gucci, was in the pre-production stage. Now today, we are receiving news that states Natalie Portman is being eyed for the lead role in the film.
Scott is currently deciding on his next project. The choices are Gertrude Bell, Gucci, or the Blade Runner sequel. Which one will go in front of the camera first is still up in the air.
It is unclear if Portman has been approached yet or if she would even want to take the film. But, if she’s looking for a big role after her small hiatus from acting, this would surely be a wise choice. Hopefully as Scott finishes up his new film Prometheus, we’ll hear more on where he is headed next.
