Unit 13 Announcement Trailer Shoots Up Digital Grunts

Zipper Interactive, maker of the military shooter, SOCOM 4, is hard at work on Unit 13 for the Playstation Vita, which will be available on or around the handheld’s February 2012 North American launch date.

From the video below, we can see that the game will implement dual analog controls along with a touchscreen control feature that looks to have promise. You can choose between four distinct operatives: Pointman, Infiltrator, Marksman and Technician. Each class has its own special abilities, showing that this game can be played with various strategies.

You will also be able to play with friends in two-player co-op, with a broad online system that allows you to send challenges and partake in unique scenarios.

The graphics are pretty slick as well and the gameplay has that well-known SOCOM look to it. Overall,  Unit 13 is shaping up to be a solid early launch title for the already impressive-looking Playstation Vita.
