The Hollywood Reporter have really out done themselves this year. They have put together several roundtable videos with this years’ Oscar hopefuls, all running for about an hour each.

Today we bring you all three, which include a selection of potential directors and actors that may and have been nominated in 2011 awards season. In the directing clip the discussion is conducted with Alexander Payne (The Descendants), Mike Mills (Beginners), Steve McQueen (Shame), Jason Reitman (Young Adult), Bennett Miller (Moneyball) and Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist).

While the acting category has Glenn Close (Albert Nobbs), Charlize Theron (Young Adult), Carey Mulligan (Shame), Michelle Williams (My Week with Marilyn), Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer (The Help) for the girls, and an amazing selection of George Clooney (The Descendants, The Ides of March), Christopher Plummer (Beginners), Gary Oldman (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy), Christoph Waltz (Carnage), Albert Brooks (Drive) and Nick Nolte (Warrior) for the guys.

It’s really amazing to see this much talent in one room discussing film, and for fans of the industry, these clips are a fascinating watch. I highly suggest checking them out as you won’t regret it.
