Say It Ain’t So, Saw 8 Is Happening

So despite what we heard when the last Saw film came out (that it was the last one), it looks like we'll be getting another Jigsaw adventure in the form of Saw 8. Bloody Disgusting tells us that Lionsgate Vice Chairman Michael Burns recently spoke with CNBC and confirmed that the franchise would indeed return to the big screen.

So despite what we heard when the last Saw film came out (that it was the last one), it looks like we’ll be getting another Jigsaw adventure in the form of Saw 8. Bloody Disgusting tells us that Lionsgate Vice Chairman Michael Burns recently spoke with CNBC and confirmed that the franchise would indeed return to the big screen.

“I’m sure, some day, you’ll see Saw back in the picture,” Burns said.

Can’t say I’m surprised as the films continue to make money with each instalment but I can say that I’m not particularly enthused. The films have been going downhill for a while, ever since the second one actually. Admittedly, the second and third were still watchable but after that, they got pretty bad.

I do end up watching each one simply because I want to see how the story continues but really, I find it hard to get excited about these films anymore.
