Deadline is reporting that Angelina Jolie is set to star in director Luc Besson‘s upcoming film. The project is currently without a title but Deadline is comparing it to the director’s earlier efforts, films like The Professional and The Fifth Element.
Being described as a “dramatic thriller that is rooted in true scientific elements,” I personally can’t wait for this. I’m a big fan of Besson’s work and The Professional is one of my favorite films of all time.
Most of the titles he puts his name to, whether it be in a directing, writing or producing role, turn out to be pretty entertaining. As for Jolie, her turn as an action hero in Salt didn’t exactly impress me but a lot of the fault in that film lay in the script.
I’m definitely excited to hear more details on this one and as they surface we’ll be sure to share them with you.
