Serious Sam 3 DRM Part Two: Electric Boogaloo

Oh, Croteam, is there anything you won't do for our amusement? I just finished writing about Serious Sam 3: BFE's free Santa DLC for multiplayer, and was still chuckling about the immortal pink scorpions sent out to kill pirates. I knew it would only be a matter of time before that was cracked and the pirates would have their way, but you already had planned on this.

Oh, Croteam, is there anything you won’t do for our amusement? I just finished writing about Serious Sam 3: BFE‘s free Santa DLC for multiplayer, and was still chuckling about the immortal pink scorpions sent out to kill pirates. I knew it would only be a matter of time before that was cracked and the pirates would have their way, but you already had planned on this.

Reddit.com user JohnDio has stumbled upon the second part of this dastardly trap. It seems that at a certain point in the game, Sam will start looking straight into the sky and spinning as if he was frolicking through a field of daises. While it stands to reason that he’s had a rough day up until that point, his decision to reenact The Sound Of Music while headless suicide bombers charge him from every direction to blow him to pieces, may not have been thought through all the way. Sadly, our pirate has no other option than fire harmlessly into the air out of frustration.

I have to say this is by far my favorite kind of DRM. The kind that doesn’t effect me, and is outright hilarious.

I’m sorry I ever doubted you Croteam. Let’s never fight again.
